If your lab is no longer testing a certain test/analyte, and it is part of the current event, you will need to mark it as discontinued.
- If you are reporting online (PPT): In the Enter Test Results section, click on the name of the test/analyte that you are no longer testing. It should be located on the left-hand side, in blue, underlined, and in all capital letters (ex. ALBUMIN). A small window will open. Check the box next to Discontinued and then click Save.
- You may also click on the file name below to download a PDF with general instructions on how to mark a test as discontinued.
- If you are reporting by mail: On the Comments page, make a note about the test/analyte you are discontinuing, including the analyte name, in the Not Testing section at the bottom of the sheet. Be sure to include the Comments page with your other worksheets when you mail them to API.
